Email tom@p10q.com. Include your Cairn version, macOS or iOS version, and the exact error message. Do not send SSH private keys, AWS secret access keys, pairing codes, or QR-code screenshots.

Set up the iOS companion

1. Install and open Cairn for macOS.
2. Open Remote > Jump Host and complete the guided AWS setup.
3. Open Remote > Pair iPhone.
4. In the iOS app, tap the plus button and scan the QR code. You can also copy and paste the pairing code.

Connection troubleshooting

• Keep Cairn running on the paired Mac and make sure the Mac is awake.
• In Cairn for macOS, open Remote > Jump Host and confirm the tunnel is connected.
• Confirm the AWS account and CLI profile used during setup are still active.
• On iOS, open the host again after changing between Wi-Fi and cellular.
• Enable Settings > Show connection log to capture a local diagnostic log.

Revoke an iPhone

On the Mac, open Remote > Paired iPhones and remove the device. This removes its SSH authorization immediately. For complete credential cleanup, also delete the matching cairn-iphone-* IAM user from your AWS account.

Purchases

Cairn for iOS is a free companion to Cairn for macOS. macOS purchases, downloads, and receipts are handled by the p10q store. The iOS app does not sell or unlock purchases.
